Chairperson's Letter
Fellow USITT Chesapeake Member and Supporters,
I write this letter to you soon after taking over the duties from Immediate Past Chair, Kacey Fisher. Her leadership and the Board that she guided led the Section to wonderful new opportunities for the membership and I plan on continuing her and the Board’s hard work.
The past years have been a time of phenomenal growth for the Section- Increased membership, larger Expos, and a growing presence on the web through this site. Our goals, your goals actually, are the forefront of our thoughts as we move forward as a Section to play a leading role in Entertainment Technology training, education, and networking in the Mid-Atlantic. We look to add 3-4 major events a year around the geographical region, continue to pull in leading industry professionals for affordable local sessions, network the region together both professionally and personally, and find time to begin to add some events of a shared non-industry interest to our members, for after all, we all have lives as interesting outside of the theatres as we do inside.
Thank you for taking the time to join the Section and I look forward to seeing all of you at the events and sessions we hold over the year. I, as well as any member of the board, can be reached by email from this site and we will be happy to bring you talk to you about joining a committee, bringing an event to your facility, or just answering a question of where to go in the region for assistance. If you see something you want to be a part of, just let one of us know and you’ll be on it. If you see something missing, let us know and you may be in charge of it. A few hours a year is all we ask and the rewards are great. Please contact us and make USITT Chesapeake the strongest Section possible.
Sincerely,
Patrick H. Wallace

Immediate Past Chair's Letter
Dear USITT Chesapeake Members and Supporters,
The dawn of our new website has been a longer process than we had anticipated. What started as a simple project and idea to bring increasing benefits to the membership of the section took more time than we had planned, but we are finally here. A redesigned logo accompanies our newly refined Mission and Vision Statement.
I can often be heard saying, the section is only and strong as its membership base and I will bring up that point again here. The section is here to serve the local technical theatrical professionals, and we need to hear from you what skills or education you need to make your job better. We also need you to bring your own special skills and talents to the youngest and newest members, and even to those of us who have been around for a long time, but need to brush up on the latest trends or technologies.
Thank you to all of you who have diligently supported the section over the years. I believe as we continue to grow and expand our membership base and this very website that we will find a value to the section, not known before. Please continue to let the board members know what we can do to serve you better and if you see something that needs to be done, fill the hole yourself, offer a few hours a year and help bring about a new era for the USITT Chesapeake Section.
Sincerely,
Kacey Fisher
